Post-surgery bras in collaboration with AECC

Gisela, in partnership with the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), introduces a post-operative bra, made with the advice of a group of professionals and patients from the Association, designed for clinical use. After listening to the concerns of a group of voluntary women, we have managed to create the bra we are most proud of at Gisela, our post-surgical bra. Gisela will allocate a portion of the proceeds from the sales of this bra to projects developed by the AECC, focused on improving the lives of people affected by Cancer, promoting oncological research, and encouraging health education. A portion of the production will also be donated to patients in need.

What is a postoperative bra? Features

Postoperative bras are special bras for women who have had breast surgery, so they are suitable for both a mastectomy postoperative bra or a breast reduction or enlargement postoperative bra. Thanks to its front closure with hooks, you can adjust it well to your contour without exerting pressure. It is a cotton postoperative bra that will provide you with maximum comfort when in contact with the delicate skin of your breast. Adjustable at the front for increased comfort when putting it on and taking off, with a prosthesis pocket and wide soft and fluffy straps to avoid pressure on the shoulders. The straps can be worn in the classic way or crossed at the back for greater support.

In the delicate time that begins after a breast surgery, where you may feel discomfort and pain in the area, what you need is comfort, and a garment that adapts to you. Because we understand that these are not easy moments, we have designed a postoperative bra to accompany you in your recovery. Wire-free cotton bra for post-surgery, with an integrated inner pocket, to easily insert your prosthesis. It's perfect for the time after a breast surgery, whether it's augmentation or reduction or a mastectomy.

Bra for women operated for cancer or post mastectomy or lumpectomy

These bras are primarily designed for women who have undergone a mastectomy. They offer soft and comfortable support, and have pockets for breast prostheses. The straps are wider and adjustable for extra comfort.

Bra for Breast Reduction

A postoperative bra is essential after a breast reduction surgery, as it assists in recovery and alleviates pain. Postoperative bras provide additional support and increased compression to reduce swelling and minimize breast movement.

This type of bra is ideal to accommodate the new breast size and provide an optimal shape. It can also help prevent postoperative complications, such as implant migration and scar formation.

Design and comfort in our postoperative or postsurgical bras

The volunteers who participated in the development of this postoperative bra told us that they could not find beautiful bras with these features that made them feel special. For this reason, we added lace details on the neckline and back. In addition, we designed a matching thong-effect panty to complete the set without losing the comfort of both garments.
